DS Containers is a manufacturer of aerosol cans in the United States.
In September 2010, the state of California approved a new law, effective January 1, 2012 which will require retailers and manufacturers operating in the state to make public the steps they have undertaken to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their supply and distribution chain. In line with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act (SB 657), DS Containers recognizes the pervasiveness of practices that could be construed as slavery and human trafficking and is committed to addressing the issues within DS Container’s supply chain.

DS Containers acknowledges the levels and types of risks related to each country where DS Containers materials and goods are sourced and produced. DS Containers requires its suppliers to adhere to DS Containers’ standards to ensure compliance to DS Containers’ Quality Policies. Our Quality Policies cover various matters such as integrity, quality, standards for treating vendors, suppliers and employees as well as prohibitions against human trafficking, slavery and any other involuntary employment.

Accordingly, pursuant to the requirements in the Act, DS Containers makes the following disclosures: DS Containers specifically does not engage in human trafficking and slavery. DS Containers specifically prohibits these practices within its supply chains and currently does not engage a third party verification but reserves the right to conduct third party verification or unannounced audits of product.

DS Containers requires its direct product supply chains suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into the product comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business.

DS Containers internal accountability standards and procedures are appropriately applied if it is determined that employees or contractors demonstrate failure to meet company standards regarding slavery and human trafficking.

As such DS Containers prohibits the practices of human trafficking and slavery and abides by the federal, state and local laws that assure the fair treatment of employees and the avoidance of practices of human trafficking and slavery.

DS Containers will provide to all employees, who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, training on human trafficking and slavery, particularly with respect to mitigating risks within the supply chains of products.

In accordance to the new law, DS Containers is dedicated to expand its standards and take measures to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in our immediate supply chain and beyond.
